I really like this piece, but there's just some things that you HAVE to look into in order to be correct about these types of things. I really don't want to be a nuisance, but people that assume something when they don't have proof and others do generally make themselves out to be kinda stupid (Not saying you are, just saying most people are). I want to help you understand that Sheik was originally supposed to be a male, but by an odd circumstance, the creators of Sheik decided that it would be more dramatic for Zelda to be Sheik. I'll explain the rest when I get there. For now, will you please read this? Pay attention to the link as well. That is LoZ: OoT Material, which is almost as canon as it gets.

This might be an old as all living heck picture and the comments prove that, but that doesn't stop the fact that Sheik is a girl and is even stated so in the story of Ocarina of Time. (The game where Sheik was introduced and finalized with no further appearances of Sheik afterward, other than in Super Smash Bros.) To elaborate; there is proof that Sheik is Princess Zelda, and that proof is the game itself (So here you go [link]). The Triforce of Wisdom is on the hand of the Seventh Sage and the Princess of Hyrule. There are only 3 pieces to the Triforce and the 3 owners of said pieces are Zelda, Link, and Ganondorf. These pieces can not be passed to another person, unless the owner dies. So unless Zelda died and Sheik was given the piece of the Triforce that Zelda had, which would be impossible if Zelda returns later in the game (which she does). To prove that point, in the Temple of Time, after receiving all the Medallions from the Temples all across Hyrule, Sheik confronts Link (you) and shows him HER Triforce piece and then transforms into Zelda. Does that not seem odd to you? Rather than trying to prove to the world that Sheik was actually a guy, they continued on with the belief that Sheik was a girl by going into detail with the character 'Zelda' in Super Smash Bros. Melee. They provided a full transformation for Zelda in the game, where SHE becomes Sheik (also proving my point). I know I seem a bit butt hurt about it, but to be canon correct you must first read up on your facts. They had, at first, intended to make Sheik a boy, but thought it would make it more dramatic that Zelda be Sheik instead. They wanted to better explain how Zelda could stay 'gone' for so long without being located by Ganondorf. This proves that point, and your own denial of the knowledge and truth (no matter how painful it is) does not help the Legend of Zelda fan base.

I hope after the years of which you sat through having this one picture up you have come to terms with the fact that Nintendo purposely made Sheik a girl. I'll now leave you to sit and ponder on these words, because I KNOW for a fact that what I've stated are true. I used to be a hardcore Zelda fan, so I was kinda mad that Sheik was a female as well... We just have to give in sometimes and let other people be right. Being selfish about it will get you no where. You should at least allow people to draw a female version of Sheik, because of the fact that some people view the character how she is supposed to be viewed. So please don't take offense to this.
