So, I've been avoiding deviantArt because I'm incredibly pissed off at its asinine policy toward pixel art (apparently cel-style shading doesn't have enough pixels to be worthy of the title. Bullshit much?).

On the other hand, I have plenty of work and I can't put off returning forever just because I have a horrible wrenching feeling in my gut every time I sign in and feel like I have resume an argument with a mod I can, by nature, never "win".

Have I mentioned dA's pixel art policy fucking sucks?

Anyway, on a lighter note, I made out daymn well at SMASH, mostly due to a particular fan (I'm not sure if they want to be named or not, so I'll avoid it to be safe) who bough a number of commissions on the day. I was on some amazing kind of roll, so it went rather well; knowing how much this person liked my work - seeing the sketches and instantly deciding they wanted to see them finished up in colour - just made me feel wonderful all day. So thank you, kind commissioner, you made me so very happy ^_^

This is the first of the group, a nameless fairy girl (they were all "on the spot" designs, so no characters here). She was one of the best, hence why I've inked her first; I was really happy with her face and hair, and her body in general. I think she's super-cute ^.^ I'm thinking to colour her in soft teal and purple sort of shades.

I don't know if she's "mature" content or not ^^; she's nude-ish, but there are no details. I'm thinking not, unless some mod gets banhappy on my arse.

Haha! I like to thnk I've improved, but it could just be that I've actually been inking stuff for once :p I'm so terribly lazy ^^; I've got some new ink pens and paper I really like, though, so maybe I'll do it more often now ^^

XD Inking's always a pain in the butt for me XD I have new stuff myself, tons of paper, like four new pens, and I still do 90% of my artwork in photoshop XD fun times

I always wished I could get into digital inking... even with a tablet, I suck at it XP Maybe it's because my computer is too slow and my lines get kind of jerky.

Well, at least I has the new paper. It's lovely, best I've ever used. So thick and smooth... it's heavenly. My artist's tape stick to it too firmly, though, so I have to be careful I don't get sticky crap on the paper XP

XD ewwww, sticky crap, hate that. My favorite thing to use to draw on is card stock. I like it a lot :3 for things like planning sketches and whatnot I use regular printer paper X3
