Just thought I might let any interested parties know why I've not been around for a couple of weeks - that being, my motherboard died, quite spectacularly, along with the (accursedly!) integrated video card.

So basically, new computer time! They're saying it should be done any day now, but they've been saying that for the last twelve days or so, so the actual ETA is anybody's guess For my projects, particularly collaborative ones (and the FR website (including the Furc dream - that's why we've been down!), of which I was /just/ finishing the CSS rebuild!), this just means they're on hold until I get the new box, so that's why I've not been responding

Anyway, I've been trying to check my e-mail now and then, but it's difficult to get access, so if you need to reach me you should probably try sending mail to Talen instead (talen (at) dodo (dot) com (dot) au).

Hopefully I'll be back soon ^^

I'm just looking for a couple of "scenery" screencaps to turn into backgrounds for ye olde Sheik KiSS set. If I could just find one of Kakariko village and one of the temple of time, I'd be happy. There are perfect moments for these in the game, both the first timeyou visit the places, and in the ending credits. Who hasn't anybody taken shots of them? Seriously, I've spent hours on Google trying to come up with something. At least, something that isn't a teenytiny little thumbnail. *sigh*

Hey, if any of you know a site which might have what I'm after, I'd be exceedingly grateful. They don't need to be huge (I'll be running them through stylisation filters anyway) but not tiny either Anybody?

So,Talen and I are at Work for the Dole (for non-Australians, that's a government program which makes you do something in exchange for your unemployment benefits - travesty!), where the server in our group's computer room had its power source go "fizzle" this morning. Now, this computer was not only our gateway for both the LAN (including the printer and the internet access) but also where all of our work was stored - so we have access to none of the work we've been doing for the past few months.

And how is this problem resolved? Not by replacing said power supply - that would evidently be too easy. Not by sending us home, since we can't do our work. Nope, they sent us next door, to a different training room and a different network. Most of the group is either chatting or on eBay, (apparently, Work for the Dole is how Australian people who can't afford a computer get internet access). I'm probably being the most constructive here, I'm guessing, since I'm able to work on Talen's webpage (pretty CSS update and loads of new content - should be coming soon!). Gawd.

In other news, I have potential PHP coding on the way for both the GHAP and the Furbidden Realms pages, to make gallery sorting easier and more customiseable. Also, I should have another KiSS base on the way soon - the Sheik I've been meaning to make for ages. And you can bet he will come wth Kafei cosplay
